The Sika Aktivator-205 is an alcohol solution containing a bond activating substance designed for the activation of surfaces prior to bonding and sealing with Sika products.  

Areas of Application 

Sika Aktivator-205 is used to activate the following non-porous substrates: metals, plastics, enamelled glass (ceramics), painted surfaces. This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions, especially boundary temperature conditions have to be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.

Method of Application

Wipe bond faces with a clean lint free paper towel moistened with Sika Aktivator-205.

Change paper towel after each wipe. If pretreated area is not bonded after 2 hours the activation process has to be repeated (max. 2 times). Ideal application and surface temperature is between 15°C and 25°C (60 - 75°F). Consumption depends on the specific nature of the substrates and manufacturing process. 

Tightly re-seal container immediately after each use. Prolonged exposure to atmospheric moisture will cause Sika Aktivator-205 to become opaque/cloudy and therefore inactive. Discard any product in this condition. Flash-off times may vary depending on climatic conditions.

UK Mainland

**Next Day Cut Off – subject to cleared payments and passing of payment security checks by 11am.

Orders processed after 11am using the next day service option cannot be guaranteed.

All UK Mainland orders qualify for FREE delivery* when you spend over £150 ex VAT. *Please note certain items do not qualify for free delivery. 

Consignments will be delivered using DX, DPD, APC, Hermes or direct from the supplier if stock is not readily available within our warehouse.

Please note that orders placed on a Friday after 11AM for next day delivery will be dispatched on the following Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

Orders placed prior to a Bank Holiday will be delivered two days after the Bank Holiday.

Damages

By ordering with Dortech Direct you agree to inspect goods upon delivery. Damaged goods should be rejected. If you notice damage after goods are delivered, you must report this to us within 48 hours of delivery. Dortech Direct does not accept damage liability for issues reported over 2 working days from the point of delivery.

Returns

If you need to return a product within 14 days, we are happy to refund the product provided it is returned, as sold, with all the original packaging, tags, labels and accessories.

Prior to returning any goods for any reason, please fill in the Returns Form and put it in your package that you are returning. 

 

FAQ

Is there a re-stocking fee?

Please note some orders are subject to up to a 35% restocking fee. While every effort will be made to avoid this charge in some cases it is un-avoidable.This charge represents the administrative time and overheads to reprocess the stock. 

I've sent my package, how long will the refund take?

We aim to make the returns process as quick as possible, but please allow up to 14 days for your refund to be processed. If you haven't received any information after this time, please get in touch with one of our team.
