Description
Firestop Pipe Collars are primarily designed for retro-fit to plastic piping or trunking where it passes through fire resistant structures such as walls or floors.
In the event of a fire, the collars’ intumescent core rapidly expands to crush the pipe or trunking, which seals of the area and maintains the fire integrity of the structural element.

Testing
All pipe collars are tested to BS476 part 20 1987,
4 hour rated in a vertical/horizontal application
Installation for surface mounting
- Ensure substrate around pipe is flat and free from obstructions - if necessary, make good by using Firestop intumescent acrylic sealant.
- Position collar around pipe.
- Slide tab through slide in pipe collar and fold back 180˚ to secure.
- Secure pipe collar by drilling through fixing lugs and using 50 x 8mm masonry screws or 50mm (minimum) expanding metallic bolts.
Do not use fixings which rely on plastic components for grip.
Wall penetrations
Always fix a pipe collar on the side of the wall at risk from re attack.
Fix a pipe collar on both sides of a wall when direction of the fire risk is not known.
Floor/ceiling penetrations
Fix a pipe collar to the underside of the construction only.

Consignments will be delivered using DX, DPD, APC, Hermes or direct from the supplier if stock is not readily available within our warehouse.
Please note that orders placed on a Friday after 11AM for next day delivery will be dispatched on the following Monday for delivery on Tuesday.
Orders placed prior to a Bank Holiday will be delivered two days after the Bank Holiday.

Damages
By ordering with Dortech Direct you agree to inspect goods upon delivery. Damaged goods should be rejected. If you notice damage after goods are delivered, you must report this to us within 48 hours of delivery. Dortech Direct does not accept damage liability for issues reported over 2 working days from the point of delivery.

Returns
If you need to return a product within 14 days, we are happy to refund the product provided it is returned, as sold, with all the original packaging, tags, labels and accessories.
Prior to returning any goods for any reason, please fill in the Returns Form and put it in your package that you are returning.

Is there a re-stocking fee?
Please note some orders are subject to up to a 35% restocking fee. While every effort will be made to avoid this charge in some cases it is un-avoidable.This charge represents the administrative time and overheads to reprocess the stock.
I've sent my package, how long will the refund take?
We aim to make the returns process as quick as possible, but please allow up to 14 days for your refund to be processed. If you haven't received any information after this time, please get in touch with one of our team.
